STEM Career Concourse Application

The Charleston STEM Festival Career Concourse is an exhibitor area specifically designed to focus on Lowcountry STEM careers and educational pathways. The Career Concourse provides a unique opportunity for festival attendees to engage directly with local businesses and educators to learn about STEM careers right here in the Charleston area.

Exhibitors applying before December 14, 2018 will receive not only a reduced application fee but also:

  1. A 20-second professionally produced ad announcement shared during STEM Fest; and
  2. Inclusion in a continuously streaming presentation that highlights Career Concourse exhibitors, their logo, taglines and products

CAREER CONCOURSE ON STAGE

  • All organizations participating in the Career Concourse are invited to participate in:
  1. “Meet STEM Companies” lightning presentations, in which a company representative will provide a 60-90 second talk about the organization
  2. Two panel discussions

PANAL TOPICS:

  • “Pathways to STEM Careers in the Lowcountry: How did you get here?” includes representatives who followed different pathways to STEM careers - 2-year or 4-year degree programs, apprenticeships, CTE programs in local high schools, and/or certificates.
  • “A seat at the Table” - viewing the STEM experience through the lens of underrepresented/nontraditional STEM professionals

Exhibit Information

Exhibitors will be provided with a 10’ x 10’ exhibit space, a 6 foot table, two chairs, 2 STEM Festival t-shirts, electrical access.

Cancellation Policy After February 8, 2019:

Policy After February 8, 2019: After February 8th, the registration fee is non-refundable if you cancel your exhibit space. The fee you paid will be taken as a "donation" to the Charleston STEM Festival.

Exhibitor Agreement

We wish to participate as an exhibitor at the Charleston STEM Festival and agree to the following terms;
• Include highly, interactive STEM/STEAM activities targeted at the K-12 grade and young adult level.
• Register and set up between 7:45 AM and 9 AM and breakdown no earlier than 3 PM.
• Bring banner or sign and tablecloth for our exhibit.
• Park in designated exhibitor parking area displaying the festival’s parking pass on our dashboard.
• Not give out BALLOONS, STICKERS, CANDY OR CONFETTI-TYPE materials or you will be charged a clean up fee.
• Adhere to exhibit times of 10 AM - 3 PM. No early take-down of exhibit.
• Clean up our exhibit area by 3:30 PM.

Authorized Exhibitor Representative:

• If selling merchandise at exhibit, 10% of sales will be donated to the Lowcountry STEM Collaborative.
•Adhere to exhibit times of 10 AM - 3 PM. No early take-down of exhibit.
• Not give out BALLOONS, STICKERS, CANDY OR CONFETTI-TYPE materials or you will be charged a clean-up fee.
• Clean up our exhibit area by 3:30 PM.
• Abide by the Cancellation Policy.

STEM on Stage Application

Application is due January 11, 2019

STEM on Stage performances highlight STEM + Arts or audience participatory STEM activities that integrate content in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Math. The festival is a FREE public community event; therefore, we do NOT pay for stage performances. We will promote your performance in our marketing media, if selected. The Event Program committee will notify applicants of stage performance selections by the first week in February, 2019.

If your organization would like to perform a STEM skit, song, dance or large scale demonstration, please complete the following information. Note: available usable stage space is 1800 square feet.

Insurance

Vendors must supply the Charleston STEM Festival with a certificate of general liability insurance listing the festival as an additional insured for the date of the event, March 09, 2019. Any vendor not supplying this document will be excluded from the event. Coverage must be at least $1,000,000 general aggregate and $500,000 each occurrence.
